Nicely appointed and cute little hotel located in a very very nice area so close to downtown and major attractions, and all attractions and restaurants.

Its location just a short stroll away from Colton Hall Museum was incredible and amazing. The breakfasts were freshly prepared and great and reasonably priced.

The units are spotless and airy with comfortable bed. Our hotel is set in a very central location just off interesting restaurants and bars, historical museums, and the market.

It was a well-appointed place, had extremely helpful staff at the reception desk. The food was good, I tried cereals, croissants, pastries, and yoghourt. The location was handy, not too far away from Old Fisherman's Wharf. There was a very nice restaurant at a short distance from the hotel.

It was in a very central location, easy walk to everything. Moreover, it's so close to the Aquarium or Cannery Row and restaurants, the wharf and downtown.

Excellent base for discovering Monterey with incredibly attentive and very helpful staff at the reception desk. The rooms with 2 queen beds. Exceptionally nice and ideal location short walk to all the quaint shops as well as Fisherman's Warf, breweries, and all shops and amazing restaurants, including the Fisherman's Wharf; early check-in. Easy walk to an art museum.

The location of the hotel is convenient, being close to the wharf, restaurants, and taverns in the area. Guests can easily explore the surrounding neighborhood and enjoy the local attractions. There are also nearby options for dining and entertainment, ensuring a lively atmosphere in the vicinity of the inn. Additionally, guests can easily access Del Monte beach and the fisherman's wharf, allowing for a fun and relaxing beachside experience.

The lobby of the inn lacked charm and was nothing to write home about.

We stayed in a king room with fireplace and vaulted ceilings. Gorgeous!! Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful.

The walls are a bit thin, because the family next to us had a very noisy toddler who loved to yell and scream. Thank goodness we had an upper level room so as not to have a ceiling-neighbor, too. Parking also was a chore. Too tight parking spaces and too many cars allowed for the amount of rooms. We had to park in a handicapped spot on the recommendation of the desk clerk who said that luckily for us there were no handicapped guests that night.

Very nice hotel close to the habour! Good value for money.

We got great value for our money at the Merritt House. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff treated us like family. The location was perfect, with restaurants and attractions just a short walk away.

For breakfast, they could have offered more options to choose from.

The plain exterior of the hotel belies the sizeable tasteful rooms. Breakfast was a simple, continental affair but sufficient for our needs and made a night's stay good value for money. The location is excellent being only 1 block's walk from Fisherman's Wharf and the public beach is a short stroll beyond that. We also had an excellent seafood dinner recommendation for the Sandbar grill; tasty and far cheaper than the touristy restaurants on the wharf.
